June & July Pour Back Partner: Southern Black Girls and Women's Consortium

Some organizations don't just do good work — they move like a movement. The Southern Black Girls and Women's Consortium is exactly that.

Since 2017, they have been funding the dreams of Black girls and women across 13 southern states — from the Black Girls Dream Conference to the Joy Is Our Journey Dream Bus Tour — creating spaces where joy is not a reward for suffering through life, but the journey itself. To date, they have awarded $11.4 million to over 250 Black women-led organizations and 1,000 girls across the South. southernblackgirls

At Peace & Soul, we pour into women because we believe women are worth pouring into. The Southern Black Girls and Women's Consortium does the same — with grants, with gatherings, with a bus full of girls who are learning that their dreams are fundable.
